Yes, Matt Stairs has arrived. 40 years young and about 50 cheesesteaks deep since arriving in Philly this August, he hit the biggest homerun of his career last night against the "unhittable" Jonathan Broxton. Awesome. I loved every second of it and I'm ready for either Tampa Bay or Boston.In other sports news, all the NFC East teams lost this week except for the birds which turned out to be a great week for them overall (despite their not-so-pretty win). The most notable loses come from the Giants and Redskins who lost to the Browns and Rams respectively. The Giants went ahead and took their pounding on national TV no less. Loved it.
The Flyers could use a win, that's really the only downside to these past few days. That and I went to NY over the weekend but have yet to find an apartment. Hopefully REAL soon...
Anyway, I'll leave this post with a couple fun videos. One of Sarah Palin getting booed at the Flyers opener (they tried so hard to drown out the boos on tv, but c'mon). Also, note the "bad start to the season" comment at the end of the video. Who knew?
